Türkiye’s dried fruit sector recorded US$1.126 billion in export revenue during the first nine months of 2026, according to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), as reported by Anadolu Agency.

Seedless sultana raisins lead the sector by a significant margin. Together with dried figs and dried apricots, these three products generated approximately US$747 million in export revenue, representing around two-thirds of the sector’s total export value.

Specialized Producing Regions

Each major product comes from a region particularly well suited to its cultivation and production. Sultana raisins are primarily sourced from the Aegean Region, dried figs are strongly associated with Aydın, dried apricots are produced in Malatya, and pistachios are widely cultivated in Southeastern Anatolia.

This regional specialization supports consistent product quality while benefiting from established agricultural expertise, processing capabilities, and supply networks.

Products for Different Market Segments

Based on the reported export figures, the average export value is approximately US$3,000 per ton for raisins, US$6,000 per ton for dried figs, and US$8,100 per ton for dried apricots.

This broad range allows importers to develop product portfolios across different market segments, from more accessible entry-level products to premium offerings, while sourcing from a single country of origin.

Proven Export Capacity

The shipment of more than 230,000 tons within nine months reflects Türkiye’s established infrastructure for product processing, packaging, logistics, and quality control.

For international buyers, this proven export capacity provides confidence when planning regular supply programs and large-volume orders.

Proximity to Major Markets

Türkiye’s strategic geographic location provides convenient access to major markets across Europe, the Middle East, and surrounding regions.

For importers, this can offer shorter transit times, flexible shipping options, and efficient access to products from one of the world’s important agricultural and food-producing regions.
